Mosaic Portraiture
In this new class, students will explore mosaic portraiture by studying facial features and understanding how value creates the illusion of depth.
Through observation and design exercises, students will simplify facial forms, making shapes in glass to build light, medium, and dark values that define structure, depth, and expression. The class will emphasize proportion, contour, and the relationship between light and shadow.
By the end of the course, students will have a unique stained-glass portrait in progress.
All materials are included. Prerequisite: Mosaic I.
