Drawing from Still Life

$195.00

Using drawing materials and working from a variety of subjects, students will progress from quick sketches to longer drawing sessions. In each week of this 6-week class, a different aspect of drawing will be introduced. The act of observing and drawing helps increase one’s visual awareness and sensitivity. The skills gained in this class will give you confidence to create with your own voice. Materials are not included. A list of suggested materials is available upon request.

All levels welcomed. No prerequisite.

The Beginning Drawing/First-Time Drawing kit is available for purchase on the first day of class for $25.00.

Kit includes:

  • 1 Ebony Pencil

  • 1 Charcoal Pencil

  • 1 White Charcoal Pencil

  • Box of 3 Vine Charcoal

  • 2 Stix Compressed Charcoal

  • 1 Kneaded Eraser

  • 1 Small Gum Eraser

  • 1 Tortillon or Stump for Blending

  • 1 Sandpaper Block

  • 1 Newsprint Drawing Pad (12 x 18)

  • 2 Sheets Mi-Teintes Charcoal Paper (12 x 16)
