Stained Glass I
The art of stained glass has dazzled viewers for over a thousand years, contributing to some of the most stunning architectural displays in the world. In this 8-week class, stained glass’s technique, history, and practicality will be discussed as students learn two different techniques through two projects, approximately 8"x 10", learning both the copper foil and leaded channel methods.
Through discussion, demonstrations, and hands-on experience, students learn to cut patterns, select colors, cut glass, assemble, solder, and patina, and prepare for hanging.A selection of designs and a wide variety of colored glass are included, along with the use of tools and supplies for each project.
All materials are included. No prerequisite.
