Columbia Collage

This mosaic mural, completed in spring of 2012, was a collaboration between Columbia College Chicago and the Chicago Mosaic School as part of an ongoing program at Columbia called "Critical Encounters". This program is intended to address social and ethical issues through the lens of art and design, and this mural commemorates six years of Critical Encounters foci: HIV&AIDS, Poverty and Privilege, Human Nature, Fact and Faith, Image and Implication, and Rights, Radicals + Revolutions. “Critical Encounters” is a collaborative initiative of socially engaged practice that invites college-wide participation in a conversation about our roles as artists, communicators, and media makers who shape public perception and author the culture of our times.

As of 2024 this mosaic is located in a private building on the Columbia Collage Campus.
